a bit about Johnny McFadzean
Johnny’s worked with some of the world’s most creative and accomplished musicians and composers, having toured and recorded with Kings College Choir, recording with EMI & Decca, performing in front of audiences of millions on the BBC, and spending time with composers like Arvo Part (for a specially commissioned piece Bogoródistye Djévo, sung in Estonian) & Peter Maxwell Davies (while recording the incredible Solstice Of Light). He has recently completed a course in Film Music at the Royal Conservatoire of Music in Scotland.
Johnny’s vocals have been heard solo across the world, from The Sydney Opera House, live-looping for London Fashion Week shows, to forming part of the soundtrack of the blockbuster film ‘Australia’ (‘Bombing of Darwin’scene). He has composed music that’s been featured on BBC 6 Music, WorldwideFM, as part of a new feature length Indie film from award-winning Director Chis Reading (in production), creating a lullaby to accompany an illustrated children’s book by illustrator Nina Dogmetchi, and most recently commissioned as composer for a new animated film by animator Sharon Sorenson, supported by Screen Scotland & GMAC (in production).

Johnny has produced 3 EPs and over 15 singles under the moniker The Woods, collaborated with producers across the globe, and has worked with renowned electronic music producer pioneer & educator, ‘CDR’ Head, & former Attica Blues legend Tony Nwachukwu.
He can be heard live regularly in places like Edinburgh’s iconic Jazz Bar.
